Enrolment options

This course focuses on the changing physiology and nutritional requirements as well as related health and nutritional concerns in the different stages of the life cycle - pregnancy, lactation, infancy, childhood, adolescence, adulthood and during the later years of life (older persons). Students will develop a comprehensive understanding of nutrition needs and recommendations associated with growth and development changes in each stage of the life cycle. The course includes a combination of theoretical and practical learning, where students will be assessed through written tests, Nutrition in Community Engagement (NICE) fieldwork (practical skills) assessments, and NICE written report. By the end of the semester, students will have a strong foundation in nutrition needs and recommendations for each stage of the life cycle and field work experience in explaining about primary nutrition issues at each stage of the life cycle. This course equips students with the knowledge and practical skills essential for careers in nutrition.
