This course deepens students’ understanding of microeconomic theory by analysing consumer and firm behaviour, production decisions, and market structures. Students develop the ability to apply numerical and analytical tools to evaluate how markets respond to government interventions, including price controls, taxes, subsidies, and tariffs. Emphasis is placed on analysing efficiency, welfare, and the distributional effects of policy measures, enabling students to interpret real-world microeconomic issues using integrated problem-solving approaches.
