The main aim of this course is to improve students’ oral communication skills in the English language and to prepare them to attain level B1+ of the CEFR. Students are exposed to the principles and techniques of effective oral integration. In addition, students are taught effective strategies in communication and appropriate communicative skills to enable them to speak spontaneously and reasonably fluent to sustain a straightforward description of one of a variety of subjects. They are given the opportunities to interact in real life situations through language activities such as discussions, simulations and role play. Moreover, they are also exposed to public speaking techniques and principles through exercises to develop their confidence and fluency to present ideas as a linear sequence of points.
