This course covers the fundamentals of working principles and process
mechanisms of various separators including the recent membrane separation technologies
applied in the oil and gas processing. This course also emphasizes on design of
separation process component by integrating the knowledge of chemistry,
material and energy balances, thermodynamics and fluid mechanics. This course
also covers HYSYS simulation studies on separation processes.
Industrial training provides practical experience in the oil and gas
related industry. This course integrates
related, supervised practical experience with academic studies and provides
students with opportunities that will enhance their utility management,
educational, and personal development.
The evaluation is based on their capability to perform the task given
and their ability to adapt to working environment.
