Work ethics is about relationships, values, justice, and identity (personal, professional, corporate, national and global). It also concerns the intersection between professionals and ethics and is fundamental to the relationships between societies at large. This course will provide answers such as “Why does the modern corporation exist in the first place?”, “How does it treat its stakeholders?” and other questions related to work ethics. This course also will discuss on the purpose, values, and transactions of and between individuals, groups, and companies and their global alliances. With this in mind, students and professionals need straightforward frameworks to thoughtfully and objectively analyse and then sort through complex issues in order to make decisions that are related to ethics, economics, social, legal and spiritual values.

This unit helps to develop knowledge and skills in utility system and facilities in Oil and Gas production processes. The facilities include the Oil and Gas production processes on Upstream, Midstream and Downstream. The utility systems involved in Oil and Gas production processes are introduced; which include the Process control systems, Digital oilfield, Power generation and distribution, Flare and Atmospheric ventilation, Instrument air systems, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning system (HVAC), Water systems, Chemicals and additives, Diesel fuel system, Drainage system, and Telecom.

Expose the student to the basic process engineering elements such as unit and dimension, process variables, material balance and energy balance.

This course covers engineering problem analysis such as units, dimension and process variables; material balances for single and multiple-unit processes; and energy balances for closed and open systems.
