This course assist student to understand how evolutionary and ecological processes interactions drive biotas to adapt to the continuous changing environment in a changing world producing a diversity of species. Today, anthropogenic activities influences ecosystems and climate worldwide, and extant species face environmental changes that probaby occur faster than ever before in the history of life. Student will able to recognize evolutionary importance of genetic diversity in agriculture in providing genetic resources for selective breeding programme and environmental friendly practices of Integrated Pest-Management which minimise disruption to agro-system and risk to human health.
